This mod resizes the text box in the mission panel on the globe screen and the item description boxes in the Research and Manufacturing screens. There is a graphics glitch in the Research and Manufacturing screens where the background doesn't match up with the new text box size but I couldn't resize those parts of the interface.
In the original file for the globe screen there's a hidden button which automatically wins the selected mission. I'm not sure how safe this is to use but I thought I'd include it for people who don't want to do every mission. -------------------- |

Added to StrategyCore.co.uk
Can you modify other parts of the UI as well? I am sure there are several modders around here that would like to know how if so... -------------------- Greetings from Olav (Staff at StrategyCore.co.uk, Slaughter)

I assume most of the UI can be modified to the extent of moving things around (which is what this mod does). I'm not sure how much new items can be added or existing items can be removed.
I found the easiest way to edit the files was by using WinMerge (free download). This lets you see the differences between the original file and changed file as you edit it. Very important for keeping track of which values you've changed and which you've still to do. Should have mentioned in the first post, this mod uses the following files: interface\configs\strategic\geospherewnd_opt.txt interface\configs\strategic\manufacturewnd_opt.txt interface\configs\strategic\researchwnd_opt.txt -------------------- |

Any chance that we can get a set of (3) before-and-after screenshot pairs demonstrating what this mod does?

The link works fine for me in both FireFox and IE. What error are you getting?
Is anyone else having problems viewing it? -------------------- |

Found out what the problem was. Your hosting provider's domain is on several lists of known spam origin sites, so it was in my hosts file as a blocked site. I've (temporarily) removed the block of your domain so I can see your images.

I didn't realise BTInternet.com was that disreputable It probably isn't. Some root sites get blacklisted if they have problems with spammers using their domains and the domain admins do not deal with the problem in a timely manner. Or a site might get maliciously blacklisted simply because some user became pissed at their own ISP. The latter is probably what happened in this case. -------------------- |

Bear in mind that you will still need the console to gift yourself with all resources, if your intent is pure testing and not game play.

Just thought I'd pass along something that one of my playtesters (Ishantil) reported: "You can really accelerate the game when you can use Fulby's Win button a lot. You just have to be careful not to try to use it on retrieve objects missions, it crashes the game."
