Yes, I got that the first time!

We can construct a new type of building.
No we can't, it's the same damn list as last time I visited the Base screen! Besides I can't create new buildings due to lack of resources!

Some of our scientists are unemployed, we should consider building a new lab.
Hey! Resources! Don't have them, can't build it, shut up about it already!

Some people have more...
I SAID SHUT UP!


How the hell do you disable these messages? Can you remove or null the samples in the vfs? Maybe make a vfs patch that replaces them with silence? ANYTHING?

lol, yea it always said it even though your party were on their way there already.

I'd like to get rid of the stupid advisors aswell, but not completely. More like just change it so they only say what they have to say when it is a new thing. e.g. If there is a soldier who can level up only say it once even if you never level him up. It'd just be so much better.

The mod available here removes the speech while leaving the text visible, so you still get the information.

Good news, I have managed to create a mod_no_advise.vfs, that silences the buggers! I'm going to play the game for a while now to make sure it doesn't screw up the game, and post back here with a download link if it works.

Update: game appears to work with no ill effects, download mod here and let me know if it works:

mod_no_advise.rar

Try Fulby's mod as well and see which works best.

Thanks guys for the mod! Those advisors are really retarded.

But still I would like this to be solved in a patch. It gives amateurish feeling to the game sad.gif

Is annoying because every person I have with science skill is working in a lab, working outdoors, or training. None is unemployed. My lab has free spots. But over and over it says someone isn't working.

they never really bothered me.

Drones train and heal differently from people, they are repaired with spare parts and upgraded with electronic enhancements

BUT I'M NOT EVEN IN THE DRONES SCREEN!

but then again. it's not that annoying. you can live with it. but then again... you're better off without it

If what they said was relevant I could live with them - telling someone new that they should consider building a lab when they have sod all resources just gets annoying. Ive played for a day now and they are already getting on my nerves - I agree they should be user configurable. (Ill be downloading the 'shut the f... up' mod shortly)
