Hi, love the game. I bought it for my mother but if anything I'm more hooked on it than she is smile.gif

Unfortunately I have a problem similar to what some others have posted, about the game crashing. It seems to run beautifully for the most part, but at random intervals it spontaneously 'dies' without warning. In almost all cases it just terminates and I'm left looking at my desktop. On only a couple of occasions it has given a Fatal Error message like one of the other users posted (I saved the text of one and can provide it if need be), and on a couple of occasions it has frozen up.

There's no rhyme or reason I can discern. It doesn't occur at any fixed place in the game - no particular mission, in fact it's even happened while doing a picture puzzle. I've played it with no probs for over 3 hours, and I've seen it crash within ten minutes of starting up. The game doesn't give any clue of what the problem could be when it happens - I'm not getting any messages or bluescreens pinpointing a dll or driver that needs updating as was suggested to the other poster.

I would appreciate any help on sorting this out. The crashing hasn't impeded playing toooo much so far, but it obviously would be better if it didn't do it. It's bizarre that it seems to run so beautifully while its going, and yet crashes so persistently and I've got no clue why.

Windows XP Home SP2 w/ DirectX 9.0c
Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz HT
nVidia GeForce 6800 GT
1.5GB RAM
I'm using softwrap version (with the update patch released on the website applied) - didn't see any difference in the crashing before and after applying the update.
